You know that little rhyme we sing to our kids at night…”nighty night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite!” I always just thought that was a cute little saying. Well, apparently bed bugs are a REAL living thing.  I just heard about it yesterday (I know, I’m behind-I don’t watch the news!), and now I’m completely obsessed.  Bed bugs are an epidemic that are taking over our country.  I’m washing sheets as we speak…okay, not RIGHT this second, but I’m going to just as soon as I hit ‘publish’.  A few little tidbits that stood out for me:  *they are being transferred by things like hotel beds and clothing stores (trying on clothes)  *those little boogers can live for up to 1 year without eating (that’s just disturbing)  *if your house gets infested, you have to exterminate them by heating your house to 140 degrees…wouldn’t that just ruin your walls and stuff? 

Okay, I’m sorry for my little public health address, I just can’t stop thinking about it!  All right, how do I segue out of this topic?? 

 Now on to something that won’t make you feel itchy in the least…a sweet little baby girl.  Sigh, isn’t she cute?  I absolutely LOVE this first shot…it’s so ‘shabby chic’!

And…she’s awake!  She has the most adorable little face…and she kept giving me direct eye contact.  She was looking at me like she new what was going on, so then I kept cooing at her like she was going to smile, but of course, she’s only 2 weeks old…so, yeah.
