schools out | minneapolis, mn newborn photography

No more pencils.

No more books.

No more teachers dirty looks.

SCHOOOOOOLS…. out. for. summer.

Lucy told me all her classmates were singing that song yesterday as they got on the bus.  A little Alice Cooper sing along for gradeschoolers?  I guess so!  I remember singing the same song every summer myself.  I just googled Alice Cooper, here’s a fun quote:

In a 2008 Esquire interview, Cooper said: “When we did ‘School’s Out,’ I knew we had just done the national anthem. I’ve become the Francis Scott Key of the last day of school.”

And in typical kid fashion…here’s the conversation we had 3 minutes after Lucy stepped off the bus.  “Mom, I don’t really know what I’m going to do all summer.  I mean, the pools not set up….and I’m bored.  Can I have a playdate today?”  Really??  Less than 3 minutes into summer vacation and your BORED?!  I fear it’s going to be a long summer!

I love how this newborn session turned out-these first two remind me of summer!

He was one of the bendiest/sleepiest little guys I’ve had in awhile!

Love his scrunched up face in this next one, poor dude, he wasn’t quite sure about the fur rug:)

This last shot makes me want to kiss his cheeks, so squishy!!
