Seriously…have you all been on facebook lately (or twitter…I’m sure this crap is on twitter too)…if I see ONE more picture of a facebook friend wearing a paper number taped to their stomach, smiling smugly at a cell phone camera, their cheeks a rosy glow of health and vitality…I will lose it. I can’t handle it…I know it’s partly jealousy…jealous that I can’t (read: won’t) run unless I’m being chased…and even then, I might have to stop my assailant and ask for a quick ‘time out’ so I can catch a breather. But part of it is just confusion. WHY does everyone love to run? When did this become the ‘thing to do’ on the weekends? Can I see more pictures of people lying on the couch on a Saturday morning? Because I’m comfortable seeing that…I GET that…it’s fun, it’s relaxing, and nobody is going to pass out in a sweaty heap from lying on the couch. Hmmm…maybe this is a cry for help. My sub-conscious wants to see me run like the wind…but my own self-doubt and lack of motivation keeps beating me down. Dang it, NO. I just don’t want to run. Please stop reminding me that I suck. The next friend of mine to enter any type of running event: don’t share a picture of yourself…unless it’s a shot of you curled up in the fetal position, tears streaming down your face, the finish line still miles down the road. The caption can read: “Crap, sometimes trying to be cool hurts”. And then you can go to the bar, and take the ever popular ‘smile with your cocktail’ picture…because that’s a trend that everyone can relate to.
Allright, that was a semi-hostile vent…my apologies! Let’s move on to the last chunk of mini-session images from last fall! We were blessed with the most amazing weather last fall…The color in my backyard was perfect…I had 2 weeks of awesome color, and the mini’s fell right in the middle of it!
Beautiful Family #1 **Note to self: Sept 28th at 4pm…best. lighting. ever. Someone better book that time for next fall asap~these are some of my favorite family pics to date!

Next up~crazy-cute kiddos (their mom is Ry’s kindergarten teacher…she does an AMAZING job with that class! Kindergarten teachers have the patience of a saint!)

Last but not least, this awesome family~with the cutest little blonde boys! Their momma writes the funniest little blurbs on facebook about these 2 kids…she needs to write a little book on the pitfalls of parenting…I’d totally read it!

THANK YOU!!!!! I hate running. Always made excuses even in elementary school as to why i couldn’t/wouldn’t/cant/won’t run.
The images are just gorgeous!!!!
Get you on the running! You know what makes me jealous though, is that really your back yard?? Ugh wow Love it, would die to have that close to the house!
I adore your brutal honesty and hilarious way with words. I ran a 5k on Saturday and hated every second of it. I sucked, lol. And, I didn’t post a single picture of me (though one was taken) because I was beating myself up all day that a 70 year old grandma and the speed walkers beat me. Ugh!
BTW, you know that I always love your work!
too funny!…I can’t run, I’ve tried and after about 30 sec on the treadmill I’m exhausted! Beautiful photos!
Kim- Just play some softball, you have a really good arm and you don’t have to run as much. Or maybe do some fluttering in the pool doing some water aerobics. Love the pictures as always.
Kimberly, that is not nice…you know you just want me to throw a softball so you can laugh at me…the fluttering does sound ideal…did we really think we were getting a decent workout at the ‘Y’ back in the day?! Sad attempt.
LOL Kelly I agree about the running….annoying! And I also agree with Edie!!! Little softball is good enough but I want to watch you
As for the “Y” absolutely no work out there I don’t think!!!
I would be happy to start a Facebook Group “We Dont Run 5 k’s”.
I only run:
To the store
The kids to practice
To the bank
Out of milk
Sign me up Ann Marie!!
YES! I can’t stand those people that just LOVE to run – I don’t get it!
