Random animal tidbits.

*I’ve been dreaming weird crap lately.  My latest dream involved me owning a new puppy…in my creepy dream, the ‘dog’ looked exactly like an 8 month old human baby boy.  I kept telling people that “The puppy is fine waiting in the back of the car, because I cracked a window.”  (am I supposed to interpret this as a reflection of my parenting skills, or lack therof?)

*On another dog note:  We already have a family dog (named Mick), he is 12 yrs old and kind of sickly.  We’ve talked to the kids a few times this winter about the possibility of him dying (since he’s been acting so strange this past year).  Yesterday morning in the car, Brady (my almost 4 yr old), asked me, “why isn’t Mick dead yet?  Is he waiting to die on the cross?”.  Hmmm… glad to see the season of Lent has impacted him so strongly.  Yet, the visual of our old yellow lab hanging up on the cross is something my mind cannot process.

*Our dog must have really missed us last week while we were in Mexico…he was staying with a friend, and decided that all bodily functions should be done indoors…poor guy ended up wearing an adult diaper for his entire visit…I bet he would have preferred the cross to the diapers.

*Really going to just stick with my pet theme…we’ve adopted a new ‘pet’ from the wild.  It’s a strange bird (size of a hen), called a Chucker…she showed up a week ago eating our birdseed, and we’ve been enjoying her company ever since.  My friend Ella recommended the name ‘mother’ for our new bird friend, and its kind of stuck.  We love our mother chucker.

The boys in this next family were awesome~talk about personality…and the cute factor was HUGE!
