Okay, so this one might seem a bit unbelievable at first, but tomorrow I plan on losing 5 lbs…by…wait for it…going to the Minnesota State Fair.  Come again, Kelly?  Everything is deep-fried and double-dipped and hanging off a stick, how do you plan on losing weight?  Well, my friends, I plan on sweating it off by going on the hottest day of the summer!  I heard it’s going to be like 100 degrees tomorrow…there is no way I’m going to crave hot grease and fat…I’m going to crave water.  Just water.  And a patch of shade.  Last year we went on a really hot day (who am I kidding, we always go on the hottest day), and I remember locking myself in an air-conditioned bathroom stall at the ‘miracle of birth’ center for at least 30 minutes.  Good times.  Why even go?  You ask.  Well, like a lot of Minnesotan’s…it’s just one of those things you have to do every year.  Like eating turkey on Thanksgiving, or having a Superbowl party even when you don’t watch football, or turning off the lights and laying on the floor when you hear the Jehovah Witness peeps are in the neighborhood (that last one might just be my family).

I am so incredibly out of order on my blog…I know I have at least 6-9 months of back-logged sessions to put up…they’ll get up here eventually!

One of the great perks to my job, is being able to ‘swap sessions’ with other photographer friends…I met Kelly Anderson earlier this spring when she contacted me for a session…she is a fab photographer down in Spicer, MN…so all of you southern folk should check her out!  We made a plan to swap sessions with our families…she is going to be shooting our family pics in the next month or so (I better get crackin on my ‘state fair diet plan‘).  Anyhoo, since I was packaging up her images, I thought I’d quick share a few of my favs!
